01 DAY: ARRIVAL DELHI
Welcome and assistance at the international airport on your arrival. The representative will meet with you with a private car and will transfers to pre booked hotels. Our representative will brief about the tour, services and will handover the entire tour programme, vouchers to you. This day if you arrive in the evening, leisure and overnight at the hotel.
Delhi, capital city of the of India. It is one of India's fastest growing cities. The city is sprawled over the West bank of Yamuna River, straddling the river. Delhi blends an historic past and an exciting present. Delhi has some of the finest monuments and museums in the country. New Delhi was asserted the capital of India by the British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, and is tree-lined & spacious. Legend has it that the Pandavas, the august heroes of the epic Mahabharata, originally founded in Delhi, during that period Delhi was named Indraprastha, Delhi is a major political, cultural and commercial hub of India. Today, the modern city is lively with hustle and bustle that reflects so many contrasts at once.
2 DAY: DELHI - KALKA (BY TRAIN)
Today morning after breakfast Delhi sightseeing tour starts by visiting Old Delhi: the grandiose Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Rajghat - memorial of father of nation Mahatma Gandhi. Later take a cycle rickshaw ride past through the old and bustling street in Chandini Chowk. Afterwards a sight seeing tour of New Delhi includes The India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war, Rashtrapati Bhawan (President House) one-time majestic residence of the British viceroys; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birla's, one of India's leading richest family; Humayun's Tomb, lotus shaped Bhai's temple, Qutub Minar, built by Qutub-Ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty. After sightseeing return to the hotel or you may opt to visit see light and sound show at Red fort. Later check out of the hotel and transfer New Delhi railway station to take the train for journey to Kalka. Overnight on board.
03 DAY: KALKA - SHIMLA (BY TOY TRAIN)
On arrival in Kalka railway station, board the connecting authentic toy train to Shimla. The wonderful and classy rail route indeed, possesses 107 tunnels but the train passes through 103 tunnels, huge and small ones. The toy trains cross the longest tunnel at Barog in around 3 minutes. Besides this tunnel, there are 3 other big tunnels on this route are Koti: 2,276 feet, Taradevi: 1,615 feet and tunnel no. 103 is around 1,135 feet. The train acquires up a moderate average speed of 25-30 kms per hour throughout its journey, bestowing its passengers to luxuriate in the full splendour of the scenic valley. Assistance on arrival at Shimla Railway station and transfer to the hotel by private car. Evening is free to stroll and shop at the popular mall road. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Shimla: is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. In 1864, Shimla was official stated the summer capital of the British rulers of India. A popular hill stations destination, Shimla is often referred "Queen of Hills" Located in the North West region of mighty Himalayas at altitude of around 2,205 meters. During 1819A.D. The British rulers first discovered Shimla, but it was not until 1822 A.D that the first permanent house was erected and not until many years later that Shimla became the summer capital of Britishers. Shimla is blessed with natural beauty and draped in forests of oak, pine, and rhododendron, the climate is pleasant summers and cold, snowy winters. The city is popular for its buildings styled in tudorbethan and neo-gothic architecture dating from the majestic era. The name Shimla is consequent from the Himalayan Goddess Shamla a synonym of Goddess Kali.
04 DAY: SHIMLA (EXCURSION TO KUFRI AND NALDERA)
After breakfast in the hotel, drive for the winter sports capital, Kufri, just 16 kms from Shimla, where you can photograph yourself in Pahari or Himachal traditional attires, enjoy horse riding or Yak riding. Afternoon drive to Naldehra, which is quite famous for its Golf Course and scenic beauty. On a clear day you can also witness the Kailash high peak mountains ranges. Afterwards visit the famous Mall Road that still has some building built in the British architecture. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
05 DAY: SHIMLA - MANALI (280 KMS: 8 HRS)
Today morning, after the breakfast, checkout and proceed the most beautiful hill station of Himachal that's Manali. On the way you can view scenic spots like Beas River, Pandoh Dam, Mandi, and Dashehra Maidan. Optionally en route you can visit famous woolen Shawl shops and factories to purchase warm cloth material. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Evening is free for leisure and relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.
Manali: is the Northern end of the Kullu Valley and is the main resort in the area. It is beautifully situated and there are many pleasant walks around the town. Surrounded by towering peaks at arm length, Manali major asset is its proximity to the snowline, never more than few hours drive from the town nestling at comfortable 2050meters. It is the centre of the flourishing orchard industry a popular honeymoon destination and trailhead for numerous treks.
06 DAY: MANALI
After breakfast take a sightseeing tour of Manali town, visiting Manu Temple of Manu Rishi (Holy man) who was the creator of human race on the earth, Hadimba temple, dedicated to goddess, Club house, a picnic spot, Tibetan monasteries, there are 3 wonderful monasteries, on the bank of Beas river you can shop Tibetan handicraft over here, Vashist Kund, it is a small village situated on the left bank of river Beas renowned for its hot springs and temples. Nearby is the pyramidal stone temple devoted to Vashist Muni. There is another temple of Lord Ram here, if time permits you can visit to Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. In the evening visit and stroll at the famous mall road to enjoy local food, shopping and people around. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
07 DAY: MANALI (EXCURSION TO MANIKARAN 80 KMS: 4 HRS ONE WAY)
Today morning, after relaxation and breakfast, drive for a full day excursion to Manikaran. On the way meet with local people of Manali, visit their homes. Later sightseeing of Gurudwara & hot water springs at Manikaran. In the evening return back to Manali hotel, rest of evening is free for leisure overnight at the hotel in Manali
08 DAY: MANALI - JISPA (145 KMS: 7 - 8 HRS)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Jispa. This high altitude road beyond the great Himalayan range connects the densely fertile and green Kullu valley to the stark barren region of Ladakh. The drive starts at Manali slowly winding up mountain roads till Rohtang Pass at 3,950 Mts., which connects the Kullu to the Lahul valley. On entering the Lahul valley we see a distinct change with the Hindu influence being replaced with the Buddhist religion. On arrival, check into the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Jispa: lies 10890 ft on the banks of Bhaga River. Bhaga is one of the tributaries of world's fastest river Chenab. Jispa-Jispa is located at 90 kms from Rohtang Pass and just off Manali - Leh National highway 21. Jispa-Jispa is characterized by breathtaking sights of Himalaya and Mountain Goat passing by.
09 DAY: JISPA - SARCHU (80 KMS: 4 HRS)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive over the scenic Baralacha pass (4880 Mts.). Plenty of stops to capture the scenic grandeur of this majestic landscape dotted with snow capped peaks and high altitude lakes. After crossing the pass drop down to the vast Sarchu plains at an altitude of 4200 Mts. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Sarchu: Adventure Camps located in Sarchu (4253 mts) are pitched at picturesque camping site having a fresh water source. The camps are a cluster of 15 - 20 tents providing accommodation on twin sharing basis. The tents are wind/ water proof and are fitted with twin beds and a small light generated by camps own electricity generator. Camp also has a dinning tent serving simple menu. The tents may have attached or common toilets with running cold water and hot water can be provided on request.
10 DAY: SARCHU - LEH (263 KMS: 9 HRS)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Leh. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the evening free to enable yourselves to acclimatize to the rarefied air at the high altitude. Overnight at the hotel.
Leh:(3505 m) is the capital of Ladakh. For centuries, it was an important stopover for the caravan merchants going to Central Asia. Today, the town is a bustling centre for tourists and the local populace. Towering above the town is the 17th century palace of King Senge Namgyal, Ladakh's most important ruler. His kingdom extended beyond the modern boundaries of Ladakh, and additionally, he was the descendant of the 7th century warrior king of Tibet-Songtsen Gambo. Atop the Namgyal Hill, lie the ruins of an earlier palace, the Namgyal Tsemo, built by the 16th century king Tashi Namgyal. On the other side of the town, up a winding road, lies the Ladakh Shanti Stupa.This is a modern structure, built in 1985 by a Japanese Buddhist order. Leh is surrounded by picturesque locales, easily accessible and adding to the whole experience of a holiday in Ladakh.
11 DAY: LEH
After breakfast take you for full day excursion of Thiskey Monastery. It is better to visit early morning to see sunrise and praying ceremony. Also visit Hemis Monastery which is one of the biggest in this region. While returning to Leh visit Shey Palace. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
12 DAY: LEH (KHARDUNG LA PASS 43 KMS & CITY TOUR OF LEH)
After breakfast drive to Khardung la, the highest motor able road in the world at 5600 meters. The views from the top of the pass are amazing. This road carries on to the Nubra Valley. Return to the hotel. Later we take you for a tour of Leh city visiting Sangkar, Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace. Overnight at the hotel.
13 DAY: LEH - DELHI (BY AIR)
After breakfast, check out the hotel and transfer to the airport to board the flight for Delhi. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for shopping in the colourful markets of Delhi. In the evening you can visit to see speculative Light and Sound Show at Red Fort. Overnight at the hotel.

14 DAY: DELHI - HOMETOWN (BY AIR)
After breakfast, morning is free for individual activities. Later check out of the hotel and drive to the airport to board the flight to hometown. Tour concludes here with happy memories. |
